ARIZONA'S TOP KETAMINE INFUSION SPECIALISTS

Specialists in the medical field have struggled for years to find effective treatments for persistent mental and physical health problems like chronic pain, depression, PTSD, and migraines. These conditions are notoriously difficult to treat; most medicines only provide temporary relief.

Used for decades as an anesthetic, Ketamine shows promising results as an alternative therapy to traditional medication in treating these hard-to-deal with, life-altering conditions. It is highly regarded for its low-risk profile, ability to rapidly reduce symptoms, and capacity to improve mood & alleviate pain.
Ketamine America is a specialized Ketamine Arizona Clinic offering IV Ketamine infusions as a therapy for many mental health disorders and chronic pain conditions.

How Ketamine Infusion Therapy Works

Historically, ketamine has been used as a surgical anesthetic in the medical field. It has both psychotropic and analgesic effects. And, thanks to findings from more research and clinical trials, Ketamine's list of potential uses continues to grow.

Ketamine is categorized as a dissociative anesthetic induction agent by the FDA. It has to be administered intravenously to provide analgesic pain relief. During ketamine infusion therapy, a lower dose of ketamine than would be used for anesthesia is infused into your bloodstream.

For patients with chronic pain syndromes that include a neuropathic component, ketamine therapy has emerged as one of the most effective pain management methods in recent years.

Ketamine blocks communications with certain receptors in the brain while enhancing the connections between other neurons. There is also speculation that ketamine modifies how the brain handles pain and alters your hormone levels, impacting your mood.

ABOUT PRACTICE

Ketamine America was founded by a group of individuals who saw an opportunity to help people and change lives. The clinical research and personal testimonies of friends and family inspired the KA team to take action. The hope to help people find a resolution with their debilitating mental health and pain conditions is what we strive for. The Ketamine America team brings a combination of experience, knowledge, and dedication to support you on your recovery journey.

KETAMINE FOR CHRONIC PAIN

Pain is something that everyone has to deal with at some point, but chronic pain can be so debilitating that it keeps you from doing simple things like getting out of bed.

Ketamine was first used as a surgical anesthetic, but now it's proving to be a great long-term solution to chronic pain. With ketamine, pain patients can feel a lot less pain and start to enjoy life again.

Ketamine can block the transmission of signals to the brain's pain receptors. As an added benefit, it can be used to "reset" certain nerve cells in the spinal cord and brain, reducing their sensitivity to pain.

What are chronic pain conditions?

Chronic pain is defined as pain that has persisted for three months or longer. It may return repeatedly, despite treatment efforts.

Ketamine treatment is more effective for certain types of pain than others. The following types of pain are often treated with ketamine:

  • COMPLEX REGIONAL PAIN SYNDROME (FORMERLY KNOWN AS RSD)
  • FIBROMYALGIA
  • MIGRAINES
  • MIGRAINES

In many cases, ketamine infusions are preferable to regular NSAIDs, which can lead to stomach ulcers if taken too often. Many patients would rather use ketamine due to the high potential for addiction associated with opioid prescription painkillers.

Ketamine for Depression (and Other Mental Health Conditions)

With mental health disorders currently at an all-time high, ketamine is being widely used as a highly effective treatment for mood disorders.

Ketamine infusion is an innovative therapy that shows promise for the rapid treatment of psychiatric conditions that do not respond to standard medication management. Ketamine America may recommend ketamine for the following conditions:

  • Major depressive disorder
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder
  • Suicidal ideation

Although ketamine is rarely the first treatment option, research shows that just one dose can have the same effect as weeks of taking traditional antidepressants.

What is Depression?

Depression, also called major depressive disorder (MDD), is a serious mood disorder that can have a lifelong impact on those who suffer from it and their loved ones. It can affect people of all ages and walks of life.

It is characterized as the persistent feeling of sadness or loss of interest in doing things that once brought pleasure, which can lead to a range of behavioral and physical symptoms. These may include changes in sleep, appetite, energy level, concentration, daily behavior, or self-esteem. Depression can also be associated with thoughts of suicide. The episodes can range from mild to severe and vary from person to person.

Evidence from clinical trials demonstrates that ketamine has a rapid-acting and long-lasting antidepressant effect. Get in touch with us to learn more about ketamine therapy for treatment-resistant depression

The care team at Ketamine America is so amazing I feel in awe of it. Vanessa in the front office was so warm and welcoming. The provider Jonathan was so understanding and compassionate. And Nicole was above and beyond nurturing, sweet, and just overwhelmingly kind. This is the 3rd ketamine clinic I’ve tried in 2 years and I’ve never received this level of comfort and care before. Hands down this was the best treatment I have received. I can not say enough amazing things about Ketamine America.

James

1st infusion (20230516) for severe chronic & intractable spinal/vertebral pain (w/depression/anxiety for 35+ years of pain/loss of mobility). Experienced a 100% reduction of pain for the duration of the hour-long infusion, but as the K dissipated, the pain slowly returned to “normal” – not unexpected. Full return after 12 hours, but hope & mental outlook much improved. Expecting/hoping for longer-term pain reduction, incrementally after subsequent infusions. Committed to full series of sessions.

Everything as far a service was great. The price increase I’m afraidid are putting it out of reach. I need maintenance infusion every 4 weeks and the additional increases in cost are going to make that difficult.

Kelly

I am a new patient as my previous provider abruptly closed down with no notice to patients or staff. The staff at Ketamine America welcomed me with open arms. Kristin called me back within minutes of my initial call and set me up for my initial consultation within 48 hours. Madeline, took a thorough history during my initial consultation and was so pleasant and knowledgeable. I had my first infusion yesterday and again the staff was amazing. FNP Yeager was also amazing. I highly recommend.

Dr. Hargraves and her staff have been absolutely wonderful with my son – professional, patient, kind, supportive and understanding. I very much appreciate how they’ve handled both me (nervous Mom) and my 16-year-old son. And, best of all, my son is doing SO SO much better than before we started the program. He hasn’t self-harmed in weeks and his thoughts of suicide have drastically declined. He’s on infusion 6 currently. I will definitely be coming back to Dr. Hargraves for his boosters.

Sharna

I was worried today as my previous ketamine clinic closed. I had trusted ketamine wellness center for years. They vanished without proper support. Today was a wonderful surprise. I found the ketamine wellness center with more high technology and the best piece was seeing Jonathan. Many of us were treated by him at KWC and I now fully trust this center. Many other patients are feeling the same way about the new care we are about to get at the Ketamine America center. Thanks for hiring Jonathan!

My ketamine provider abruptly closed down. I immediately contacted Ketamine America and Kristen contacted me within an hour. I had an initial consult this morning and am most impressed with the entire staff. They were all very friendly, empathetic, and knowledgeable. The clinic is very welcoming, calming, and very clean. I look forward to transitioning to Ketamine America.
